BQ Reaming Shells

Product Description

Wireline Reaming Shells
Brief Introductions of Reaming Shells

Reaming shell is used to couple the drill bit with the core barrel. It is suitable for use on all conventional and wireline core barrel. This product is mainly designed to ream the hole to the standard diameter. It can keep the stability of the core barrel.

Key Functions:

  • Provides sufficient clearance for new bits when the old one is replaced.
  • Helps resist the abrasion of the core barrel.
  • Physically longer than the standard type for better performance.
  • Suitable for formations ranging from broken and abrasive to consolidated and non-abrasive.

Available lengths: 6", 10" and 18".

Features of Reaming Shells

1) Acts as a stabilizer for the drill bit.

2) Can be set with natural or synthetic diamonds.

Our reaming shells represent the highest quality and specialized design in the industry, specifically developed to satisfy diverse drilling requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: What is the main purpose of a wireline reaming shell?
The reaming shell is used to connect the drill bit to the core barrel, stabilize the barrel, and ensure the borehole is reamed to the correct standard diameter.
Q2: Can these reaming shells be used in abrasive ground conditions?
Yes, our reaming shells are designed to handle various formations, ranging from highly abrasive and broken ground to consolidated, non-abrasive rock.
Q3: What diamond types are used in your reaming shells?
Depending on the application requirements, our reaming shells can be set with either high-quality natural diamonds or synthetic diamonds.
Q4: What sizes of wireline reaming shells do you offer?
We offer a wide range of sizes including the Q series (AQ, BQ, NQ, HQ, PQ), T series, WF series, WT series, and various other specialized sizes like T2 and T6.
Q5: Why is a longer reaming shell sometimes necessary?
Longer reaming shells act as improved stabilizers. When using them, an inner tube extension is required to compensate for the additional length to maintain proper core barrel function.
Q6: Do you provide reaming shells for double-tube core barrels?
Yes, we provide reaming shells compatible with single-tube, double-tube, and wireline core barrel systems.
