Product Description
Taper drill rod is used for rock drilling, blasting holes and other drilling works in quarries, coal mines, traffic, and other constructions. It works with taper drill bits and is available in different lengths for various applications. Our taper drill rods come in a variety of taper angles. Generally, light-duty rock drills use a 7° taper or smaller, while heavy-duty rock drills mainly use 11° or 12° taper angles. Taper drill rods and taper drill bits must match in the same tapered degree.

Frequently Asked Questions
1 What are the primary applications of taper drill rods?
Taper drill rods are essential tools for rock drilling, creating blasting holes, and supporting various excavation works in quarries, coal mines, and infrastructure construction projects.
2 How do I choose the correct taper angle for my project?
Selection depends on the machine duty. Light-duty rock drills typically utilize a 7° taper, while heavy-duty drilling operations generally require 11° or 12° taper angles for better performance.
3 Which steel grades are used in manufacturing these rods?
We use high-quality steel grades including 95CrMo (equivalent to SANDBAR 20/C253), Z708, Sanbar 23, and 55SiMnMo to ensure durability and wear resistance.
4 Can you provide different shank configurations?
Yes, we provide a full range of shank configurations including Hex 22mm x 108mm, 22mm x 159mm, and Hex 25mm in various standard lengths.
5 What is the standard packaging for transport?
To ensure safety during transit, products are securely packed in wooden cases or tightly bound in bundles, depending on the length and quantity.
6 What is the production capacity for bulk orders?
We have a robust manufacturing capability of approximately 50,000 metric tons per month, allowing us to support large-scale industrial requirements efficiently.
